In accordance with the Black Mountain Constitution and By-Laws, general qualifications for an Officer nomination or committee leader appointment are:

1. Be active in both National H. O. G ® and the local Chapter for a period of no less than 6 months prior to the nomination, and be able to accept the position responsibilities for at least one calendar year.

2. Have a good record of attendance at general membership meetings, with a minimum of at least (6) meetings and (50%) participation in Chapter events per calendar year, and attend additional monthly Officer meetings.

3. Attend CPR and First Aid Training courses.

4. Not be an owner, partner, silent partner, or an employee of a business in direct competition with the Harley-Davidson Motor Company, its suppliers, or the Sponsoring Dealer.

5. Not hold an office or administrative position in any rival organization or other club and must be a citizen in good standing in the local community.
